Hillary Clinton received nearly 2.9 million more votes than President-elect Donald Trump, giving her the largest popular vote margin of any losing presidential candidate.
Certified results in all 50 states and the District of Columbia show Clinton winning nearly 65,844,610 million votes — 48 percent — to Trump’s 62,979,636 million votes, or 46 percent.

President-elect Donald Trump “doesn’t wish to pursue” further investigations into Hillary Clinton‘s email practices, a top adviser said Tuesday, a turnaround from all the campaign rallies when Trump roused supporters to chants of “lock her up.”

The poll of 500 likely voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percent. The two polls show the presidential race in Ohio is extremely close.
But the poll indicates Trump is losing ground among independent voters. In last month’s poll, Trump held a 27-point advantage among independents compared to a smaller 6-point lead in the new poll.
“If Clinton takes the lead among independents, she wins Ohio,” said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Research Center in Boston.
The poll also showed Republican Sen. Rob Portman leading 46-to-31 percent over former Democratic governor Ted Strickland.

Actress Kristin Davis and former Olympic skater Michelle Kwan will campaign for Hillary Clinton in Ohio this week as the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign opens organizing offices in Mason, Lima and Grove City.
Davis and Kwan will join volunteers, staff and Ohio Democrats in opening the offices, which serve as hubs for the campaign’s organizing activities, according to the campaign. The new offices are in addition to 12 others in Ohio.
