Presidential debates will be live tweeted

The presidential candidate field keeps getting culled and there will likely be more of the same after this week’s round of debates.

You can live tweet with Dayton Daily News reporters @Ohio_Politics tonight during the Republican debate and Saturday during the Democratic debate.

The two Republican debates in Milwaukee, which are co-sponsored by Fox Business Network and the Wall Street Journal. WHIO.com will live stream both, from  7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The main event is at 9 p.m. when eight candidates will square off. They include retired neurologist Dr. Ben Carson, businessman Donald J. Trump, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and former Hewlett-Packard executive Carly Fiorina.

The undercard debate is at 7 p.m. and features New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Pennsylvania Sen.  Rick Santorum and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Saturday’s Democratic debate is at 9 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa and is sponsored by CBS, KCCI and the Des Moines Register.  It features former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and former Maryland Gov. Mark O’Malley.
